VINTON – The City of Vinton will hold the Vinton Heritage Festival on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the corner of Horrige and Center streets from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The opening ceremony will be held at 8:30 a.m.

Performing at the event will be Raymond T. & French Bread from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m., Swamp Vibe from 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Brandon Ledet & Creole Touch from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Ed Jardell & LA Scramble Band from 3:15 to 5:00 p.m. and LA Express with Johnny Allen and Tommy McClain from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Other events include the Gumbo Gator at 2:00 p.m. and the Festival Queen at 3:00 p.m. There will also be craft and food vendors at the event.

Admission is free, and lawn chairs are welcome, but no ice chests are alcoholic beverages will be allowed.
